Portrait Photographer in Mykonos
Dionysios Tsipiras photographs portraits in Mykonos for couples, families, solo travellers and professionals, and was recognised among Greece's top five portrait photographers by the Hellenic Photographic Association in 2024 and 2025. Sessions are directed but never stiff: he builds the set effortlessly, brings each person's natural element forward and shapes the light around them, so the frame reads as you rather than a pose.
The approach
Most sessions run in the hours around golden light, moving through hand picked locations: the windmills, Little Venice, the Paraportiani church, the old port, whitewashed alleyways, or the terraces of the island's hotels and villas. Five private spots are kept for clients only.
The pace is energetic and a little playful, with clear direction for people who do not feel natural in front of a camera. Each set delivers a hero frame, strong alternates and the quieter moments in between, fully retouched and colour corrected within weeks.

Sessions can start from your hotel or villa anywhere on the island.

When is the best time of day for a portrait session in Mykonos?
The hours after sunrise and before sunset. Morning gives empty lanes in the old town; evening gives the warm light and the sunsets the island is known for.
What should we wear?
Simple, plain colours photograph best against the white architecture and the sea. Bring one change of outfit; there is usually a natural point in the route to switch.
How long does a session last?
Long enough to cover two or three locations without rushing. You receive a full set with a hero frame and strong alternates, fully retouched, within weeks.
Can the session happen at our hotel or villa?
Yes. Many sessions start at the villa or hotel terrace and move towards the old town or the coast from there.
